There is consensus among the members of the board of directors of the Association of Banks (ABL) that Salim Sfeir take the helm of ABL for the next term, said Joseph Torbey, the incumbent Chairman of ABL.
The ABL board members rotate the post of chairman among themselves and they have agreed that Sfeir will hold this position for the coming term, Torbey said.
Sfeir is currently a member of ABL's board of directors. He has been Chairman and CEO of Bank of Beirut since 1993.
