Industrial exports down 12 percent. Depreciation of the euro and instability of Iraq chief among reasons


Total industrial exports decreased by 12 percent in 2015, registering $2.7 billion last year, compared to $3.1 billion in 2014. Exports in volume decreased from 1.6 million in 2014 to 1.5 million tons last year, according to Customs statistics.

Phoenix Energy, a subsidiary of Indevco Group, has signed a contract with the Egyptian Government to build a solar power farm near Luxor and Aswan.

Olafco, a recently established diaper manufacturer located in Zakroun, Koura, will begin production in March.
