The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) signed a loan agreement with the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to finance wastewater networks and installations in Zahrani area.
The first phase of the project has a value of KD18 million ($60 million). It includes the construction of a primary wastewater treatment plant near the Zahrani power plant, as well as primary and secondary collection networks.
