Visitors bought more, spent less in 2015.

Visitors from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates spent the most last year compared to 2014. They spent on fashion, watches, and jewelry, especially in Beirut, according to the annual report by Global Blue Lebanon, the company in charge of Value Added Tax refunds.

Spending by Qataris grew compared to the previous year (21 percent), followed by the United States (18 percent). Spending was down by Syrians (-23 percent), and Kuwaitis (-16 percent).
