The Ministry of Energy and Water (MoEW) has renewed the contract for Karadeniz, the Turkish firm that owns the two power generation barges, Fatmagul and Orhan Bey. The contract will expire at the end of September 2018.
Ralph Faisal, local representative of Karadeniz, said: "The production capacity of the two ships was raised from 330 megawatts (MW) to a minimum of 370 MW. But they are actually able to produce up to 400 MW."
