Master Chips factory to open this January. A $35 million investment to increase production by 500 percent

Master Chips, a manufacturer of potato chips, will open a new factory in Ferzol, Bekaa, in January 2016.

Michel Daher, Chairman, said: "We will increase our production by 500 percent." Master Chips processes over 24,000 tons of potatoes yearly. The new factory would increase production capacity to 150,000 tons.

The company invested $30 million in the facility, which stretches over an area of 22,000 square meters. The factory will create about 800 jobs.
