Ski season opens early thanks to Storm Norma. Hotels and restaurants anticipate brisk business


Ski resorts are open for business after Storm Norma dumped fresh snow, raising hopes for a season that is significantly better than last year's.

The country's ski resorts opened their slopes to the public on Dec. 31, and expect to remain open for the next three months.

"We have one meter of snow so far, and this is enough to keep us open for three months," said Nicole Wakim, Marketing Manager at Mzaar 2000, the company that owns Mzaar Ski Resort.
