Power generation ship arrives at Jiyeh coastline. Will provide two hours of electricity for three months


Electricity generation barge, Esra Sultan, has arrived at Jiyeh. It will provide 200 Megawatts (MW).

The government said that the ship will operate free of charge for three months. The power it generates will be equivalent to two hours of electricity.

The barge was brought in by Turkish firm Karpowership. It has not been linked to the Jiyeh power plant.
