The Syndicate of Contractors for Public Works and Buildings has asked its members to stop participating in public tenders, until the government pays its dues in arrears.
The Syndicate said in a statement: "Delays in paying contractors their dues obstructs several sectors including suppliers, developers, architects, and engineers." It asked public administrations not to launch new tenders before paying all their dues to contractors.
