Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh said 100 bank accounts with ties to Hezbollah have been closed.
Among the accounts that have been reported closed are those of Al Rasul Al A'azam Hospital, Islamic Charitable Emdad Committee, and Al Shahid Foundation. Hezbollah uses these institutions mainly to treat partisans who participated in the Syrian civil war and to look after orphans of slain parents.
