Ice-cream factory opened in Zahle. Production capacity reaches 225 tons per season


La Douceur, a manufacturer of Arabic and Italian ice-cream, opened a factory in Zahle last July.

The $4 million project has a total built-up area of 2,500 square meters. It is equipped with fully automated machines imported from Italy and Greece.

The factory created around 20 full time jobs. Its production capacity reaches 225 tons of ice-cream per season. Total local ice-cream production is estimated at 1,500 tons per season, according to Gilbert Maalouf, General Manager. He said...
